Personal information (academic title, name, gender, work address, email, telephone and fax number, educational and professional experience information, and areas of interest/expertise) is collected when you apply for membership via our online application form. In applications for student membership we ask you for the names of two full members of ESV who are supporting your application. These data are solely used for reviewing membership requirements, for administrative purposes and internal statistics. They will not be shared with any unrelated third parties without explicit consent from your side or where required by law. Our membership mailing list, however, will be used in order to provide you with information related to the field of virology and with information on educational matters (grant opportunities, educational programs or courses, conference announcements, job opportunities, and educational publications such as textbooks and scientific journals).
