The present Executive Board was elected in May 2019.

It is responsible for all the Society’s affairs. In particular, the Executive Board has the following responsibilities:

• Preparing for and convening the Meeting of Members and compilation of the agenda
• Passing resolutions on the acceptance of members
• Representing the Society’s interests in public,
  towards national and international authorities
• Deciding upon the time and place of the European Congress of Virology
• Advice of funding agencies and political institutions of the European Union
